Two Nights With The Circus!
Friday, May 9 & Saturday, May 10
$30 admission, buffett dinner included both nights.
Buffet served at 7 PM, Showtime 8:30 PM

"Imagine a band that has mixed 25 years of rock and roll with a dash of folk and a pinch of Americana into an enormous caldron over a blazing fire. Stir it all with creativity and season with talent. The result is the sound of a yesterday long forgotten, and a refreshing revival of what made you listen to music in the first place." - Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Review

In 1998 The Circus emerged from the misty hills of Sleepy Hollow, New York and exploded upon the Hudson Valley music scene with their stunning self-produced debut release, "A Good Thief Tips His Hat". The quirky quartet then began touring throughout the northeast and rapidly developed a fiercely loyal, all-ages following. Featured recently in Relix Magazine, the New York Times and on the CBS hit show, Joan of Arcadia, the bands charismatic live performances and whimsical blend of folk, rock, hillbilly and pop have simply captivated audiences and critics alike.

As close to a "house band" as we have had, this will be the 19th & 20th appearances of the Circus at Middle Earth. If there are any out there on this list who still have not seen them here, this is your last chance to see this great act in the intimate setting that is the Middle Earth Music Hall.

The Saturday show has been sold out for quite some time but we still have about 40 tickets left for the Friday performance at this writing. Call 802 222 4748 soon if you want to be part of the fun.

The Drunk Stuntmen
Saturday, May 17, 2008, 8:30 PM $10

As you might have noticed, we are stacking the deck with our very favorites through these last weeks in the Shire.

We just could not sign off without one last party with our favorite party animals, the Drunk Stuntmen.

Tickets are selling pretty well for this one as well so give us a call if you want in.

The Benders
Friday, Saturday & Sunday May 23, 24 & 25
$35.00 includes buffet dinner.
Buffet served at 7 PM, Showtime 8:30 PM

The Benders have been doing what they do since the dawn of the 21st Century. They may have the instrumentation of a bluegrass band, but The Benders are an entity all their own. Fans and radio have called it Bluegrass, Newgrass, Alt-Bluegrass, Blackgrass, and even Twisted Old Time Music. The Benders just call it music. Three albums and many tours later, The Benders have played to audiences throughout New England, the eastern coast of the US, and through the southwestern states.

National press have embraced their world-goin-to-hell sound, all being sure to point out one true fact--The Benders make real, no bullshit, music. No Depression Magazine describes The Benders as "Down from the mountain anti-panache."

From their first album, recorded live in one afternoon standing around a microphone, to their newest album, the studio-tracked Mountain Radio, The Benders continue to put out music that is pure; blending rock, bluegrass, country and punk, into a sound all their own.

The adept and prolific songwriting of Bow Thayer, Jabe Beyer, & Nolan McKelvey, coupled with the stellar lead playing of Tim Kelly and Sean Staples, provide an energy and sound new to even the most ardent bluegrass fans. Completely uncaring of todays music industry, The Benders are, for better or for worse, playing the music they love, to anyone who will listen.

We had to pull out some hat rabbits to make this one happen. You see, the Benders really are not a band anymore. I think the last time they played together was right here on Memorial Day 2 years ago... and that was a re-union.

Now they are literally spread to the four corners of the globe. While banjo man Bow Thayer is still right here in Central Vermont and mandolin player Sean Staples is down in Boston, guitarist Jabe Bayer has settled in Nashville, TN while Bass player Nolan McKelvey lives out in Flagstaff, Az. with his young family. If thats not spread out enough, dobro dude Tim Kelly has been making his living in the Orient for the past few years.

It was at great financial risk to book this gig as we had to guarantee airfares but I just had to see these guys together just one last time. I was banking on the fact that you would like to see them too and I was right. Tickets have been selling steadily since we first announced the date a couple months ago and now the Saturday show is sold out and both Friday and Sunday are getting close. All the financial obligations have been covered so it is all fun from here on out.
